Arsenal would be 'ideal' for Alexis Sanchez, claims former Udinese sporting director The Chilean has struggled for form and fitness since arriving at Camp Nou in July 2011, and Fabrizio Larini believes his style would suit the Gunners down to the ground

Arsenal would be an "ideal" destination for unsettled Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez, according to formerUdinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini.Sanchez has struggled for form and fitness since arriving at Camp Nou in July 2011, and is rumoured to be one of Arsene Wenger's top summer targets as he looks to bolster his attacking options.

And Larini, who worked alongside the Chilean at Udinese, believes his style makes the Gunners a good fit.

"Sanchez needs to play the ball on the ground, just like Arsenal," he told reporters. "That would be his ideal game."

When questioned as to whether Sanchez could also play for Juventus or Inter, Larini was open-minded. "I don't see why not," he added. "He has all the qualities to do well.

"I do not know his current situation at the Spanish club. But his fitness problems have definitely limited his performances.

"The only thing that these teams will have to consider is that he is a player who needs freedom to play his way. In teams that have particularly rigid patterns of play he might have a few problems."
