JAY-Z ‘Magna Carta Holy Grial ‘MCHG’ Goes Gold In First Week

Hip Hop’s foremost rapper Jay-Z scored his 13th number one album today as his
latest LP Magna Carta Holy Grail moved 527, 000 copies. This figure does not
take into account the 1 million copies Samsung bought earlier. Jay-Z is constantly
advancing his art as well as pioneering new ways to market it. Hip Hop’s
monopoly was broken in the Billboard Charts as Ciara came in at number two
after selling 57,515 copies of her new self-titled album. J. Cole is still moving mad
units as he remains on the 3rd position after moving 38, 718 copies within the
past week. Yeezus and The Gifted by Kanye West and Wale came in it at number 4
and 5 respectively.
