Super Eagles Will Fall, Kenya Captain Boasts

Ahead of Nigeria’s World Cup Qualifiers holding this month on the 23rd in Calabar at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Super Eagles opponent, Kenya are sure of running away with victory in the all-important clash as the Harambee Stars Captain spoke with daring confidence.
Dennis Oliech the Captain of the Harambee Stars of Kenya said he is confident that his team can surprise the Super Eagles of Nigeria by beating them at home right in front of their fans in Calabar.
According Goal.com, the captain who is just settling down at his new club; AC Ajaccio insisted that the pressure to usurp the other opponent will rest solely with Nigeria largely, because of their recent status in Africa and the Harambee Stars can latch on this as an opportunity to beat the Super Eagles, having put so much preparations in place ahead of the March 23rd clash.
“The pressure will be on Nigeria especially having won the Africa Cup of Nations trophy. We will go into the match as underdogs. Everybody will be looking at how Nigeria will perform, this being their first competitive match after 2013 Afcon final.
“All we need to do is to prepare well and there is every possibility that we can get a positive result in Nigeria.”
“The team is in good shape especially after we beat Libya last month in Tunisia. We just need to maintain the same momentum and spirit. We can shock them,” he said.
Oliech said Kenya is no longer the underdogs they used to be referred to as and besides there is a new fighting spirit flowing in the Kenyan camp which makes it a possible mission for the Harambee Stars to overcome the Super Eagles of Nigeria in this quest not minding the fact that the Harambee Stars have always fallen to the Super Eagles in past encounters.
“We are no longer the underdogs we used to be when losing to Nigeria. We have matured with time and grown in confidence,” he concluded.
