My name is ADEGBITE TOBI, I
was born 17th November, am an easy going person, some people think am
gentle but believe me am not. Am a realist that believes nothing is impossible to
achieve.
- What kind of music do you do?
That’s tricky, am a rapper and
a producer, so I can make any type of music so far its pleasant to the ear and
the way the industry is these days, being versatile and prolific in a different
way is the key, so I think that defines my music.
- Can you tell us what led you into the music industry????
Believe me I always wanted to
be a cardiologist, was one of the best in my class, music was just a close
friend. I created and fell in love with it and took away my mind. Some events
happened that led to me studying something else in school. So I said to myself,
if I can’t operate on heart through a surgical knife, I could do it through my
music and have been doing that.
- At what age and when did you start music?
most people would say, “I
was born doing music.” Hehehehe….. I started miming rappers like biggie and
2pac and most old-school mc’s, when I was 15 wrote my 1st bar in
school, I started making good music when I was 17, being a
star from secondary school.- What was your inspiration that led you into singing?
I think I answered with
question 3. Let me answer again. I want to touch hearts with music, and make songs that could be used as reference later on. i love the fame and glamor attached to being a star, i have to be truthful and candid.
- How is the celebrity life like, life behind the TV screen?
Oooh!! That could be annoying,
at times you have to be a different person that can’t just go about doing
things like a normal citizen but “men I no send o” keeping it real is ‘isshh’
now. I always try to be me and its like TOBI has lost his charms because its
only RHOOK that gets the females this days, that’s unfair to him.
- How does the spot light affect your personal life and privacy?
Personal life??? I pray ooo,
everybody notices you, cant do anything secretly, I think I love that though! I
love the spot lights and the cameras.
- How do you manage to mix music and love life?
Am as single as a reverend
father and I don’t think that will change for a while. I just cant handle both
at the same time now.
- Who is your role model?
It will be difficult to pick
one. I keep learning from different people but if I’ll pick someone whose
philosophy is similar to mine, it will be KANYE but I don’t really like the new
KANYE though.
- How has your fans inspired your music.
My fans are my family. There continuous
support has been seeing me through different challenges and to the critics; you
gais have also improved me a lot. It shows you gais are listening
- What advice do you give to other up-coming artist?
Hmmmn, up-coming artist, men
keep doing what you know how to do best. Don’t try to be anybody, just develop
and be yourself and of course trust in God
